All songs written by Tony J King.
With influences ranging from James Elroy, Edgar Allen Poe, Homer, Kerouak and Joseph Conrad, I’ve written some songs that explore themes that have long fascinated - dark tales, epic folk lore and mythology, the supernatural and serendipity.
The songs were recorded during a cold, rainy and solitary week in the winter of the Dandenong Ranges, overseen by the sentinel mountain ash trees and the dark and misty ambience of the forest.
With one microphone, a fuzzy 30 watt valve amp, 1971 Harmony Rocket guitar, 1970 Japanese toy kick drum and plastic tambourine I’ve kept the recordings as honest as possible.
